This page is to inform staff of what is expected of them and inform them of the abilities and procedures they will have at their disposal in order to better help players on the server. This will hopefully serve multiple purposes with one being that if all staff read and follow these procedures everyone should handle things the same making all treatment of players and handling of situations the same regardless of who is helping them. It will act as a reference for any staff member who might not be sure of a command and all its arguments or options or who doesnt remember all the specific details of a procedure. It will inform all new staff members of the abilities and commands that their position will grant them.
All staff are expected to act in a mature, friendly and helpful manner at all times when on the server or its satellite components like enjin, forums, discord, etc.
All staff are expected to read and reference this guide when helping players.
All staff are expected to keep all communications between staff completely confidential. Anything that staff is handling, discussing, changing, etc through Discord or ingame staff chat are not to be repeated or shared with any players unless they are an integral part of the situation. If a drama situation is being discussed only the parties directly involved would be informed of the outcome of a decision for resolution.
All staff are expected to either give assistance to any player who asks for it or refer that player to a higher position staff member who can better assist them with the situation.
All staff are expected to share important information about the server in the Discord staffchat. If you come across a situation that is out of the normal and are able to fix or resolve it, please post what the issue was and what the solution was so other staff may know what to do in case they come across the same situation.
All staff are expected to look to senior staff for advice or opinions for any situation they are not sure they know what to do with.
All staff are expected to never tell a player we cannot help them. Refer them to Owner if they think this is the case.
All staff are expected to encourage players to participate on the forums with suggestions / complaints unless the player is not interested in do so in which case they will accept and pass on the suggestion / complaint to an Admin or Owner.
General Rules by Subject:
Before making a comment ensure you are providing accurate information. Look through logs to check for player activity with [ /co l <user> a:chat t:7d ]for chat history and [ /co l <user> a:session ] for login times.
Make sure to always put your comments on the Admin Comments Section. Only Owner and Admin's will post in the Applicant Comments.
Under no circumstances should any information, opinions, or comments posted by staff in the Admin Comments Section be shared with anyone EVEN Staff.
This is a very important subject here for good cause. If certain things are not kept private it will very quickly lead to a situation running out of control or drama becoming very toxic and widespread. The following things should not be openly discussed or shared with anyone except current staff members:
Application Comments - Do Not share even among staff as Staff should not know what comments were on their own applications.
Staff Chatroom on Discord- Never Share with non-staff unless the information is also released publicly examples: upcoming event, new plugin fixes, etc.
In-game private messages between players and staff - Never share any information with non-staff that was in a private message even if it was between yourself and another player.
In-game punishments - Only admin's and Owner can disclose punishments to the general chat. Otherwise only the victims should be told what punishments or reprocussions were imposed on an offending player.
Player information- Player information including real names, addresses, locations, IP addresses, countries of origin, alt accounts, usernames on other services etc should NEVER be released distributed or otherwise given to anyone. All player personal information is to be kept private with NO EXCEPTION. Attempts to use staff ranks, commands or access to gather any personal information of players will be considered abuse of power even without distributing or using that information. If players decide to give out their own information or make it public that is there choice. If players dont want to disclose real names or locations etc they under no circumstance will be required to.

With great power comes great responsibility (and greater punishment). Staff are required to know the server rules, standards and guidelines like the back of their hands and they inability to follow them will be considered malicious intentional acts against the server community or players involved. Dont let this deter you from doing your job as situations involving staff or ex-staff are investigated thoroughly and intensely before any action is taken.

Greeting new players
Providing basic server information to players
Watching and managing chat
Issuing warnings to players not following the rules
All responsibilities of Helper
Fixing and repairing damage from griefers
Be somewhat active on the forums
Be very familiar and knowledgable with server information
All responsibilities of Moderator
Responsible for organizing Server Events (example of things to think of when organizing an event)
Event information and information releases
Planning how they will go down
Reward item creation
Building Event area
Expected to focus on and complete server events by any deadlines given.
All responsibilities of Moderator
Expected to be extremely active on the forums and twitter and to engage with and entice players to engage with:
Regular use of JeepCraft's social media and promoting the server.
Expected to do at least 1 tweet a day regarding the server/community/minecaft
Expected to create and publish regular YouTube Videsos of the server and its community
Should conduct interviews with the community and post them to help the coomunity grow closer
Provide a highlights section to expose lesser known areas of the server to the community such as epic builds, player cities, new features/plugins
Expected to work with the Event Manager when it comes to announcing events (information, planning and graphics)
Responisble for watching over all server activity both player and operational.
Provide Guidance and help to new helpers
Be able to identify and solve (if possible) problems with plugins / configurations / glitches
Be completely familiar with all plugins, options, abilties, commands that players have access too.
Programming experience would be a plus but not required
